This guide helps researchers identify reference sources for biographical research of Episcopal clergy.

Old Bruton Church, Williamsburg, Virginia by Alfred Wordsworth Thompson. The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Home

This guide is for researchers who are searching for biographical information about a particular Episcopal Clergyperson. The tabs on the left-hand menu direct researchers to reference sources by topic or the era in which the person lived.

How to Get Started

To start your research, you will need to learn 3 details about your clergyperson of interest:

  1. Their full name and its spelling
  2. The approximate dates of their life or when they were active
  3. The places they lived or served

Once you know these three things, you can get started with your research using the library's collections.
